MANILA, Philippines — Presidential candidate Rodrigo Duterte is set to kick off his 2016 campaign on February 9, Tuesday with a “pahalik rally” at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.
The event, dubbed “Halik Ka Na Tungo sa Tunay na Pagbabago“, will be the first of many stops that will see Duterte go around the country kissing all the women that he encounters along the way.
“We expect a huge turnout of women that is why we have chosen this venue,” said Duterte’s campaign manager Don Juan DeMarco. “Some will be willing to be kissed, while some will probably, maybe willed.”
So high their expectations are that DeMarco is anticipating a line of supporters stretching from Quirino Grandstand all the way to Cavite.
He added that Duterte is willing to kiss women on the lips, sometime even using his tongue, because it is “delicious“.
“Never mind if I lose, as long as I get to kiss all the beautiful women,” Duterte was quoted as saying.
Duterte remains the top contender with the most amount of women kissed during the presidential race, according to the latest Social Weather Station survey.
Duterte’s rating jumped from 37 percent in October 2015 to almost 98.5 percent in January.
