Rotating Statue of Manila Rep. Amado Bagatsing to be Erected at Rizal Park

MANILA, Philippines — The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) has announced that it will erect a massive statue of Manila Rep. Amado Bagatsing in honor of his stupidity when he suggested the Rizal monument’s repositioning in order to settle the Torre De Manila controversy.

“We are already in the process of commissioning a national artist to sculpt what we envisioned to be a magnificent statue,” said NCCA chairman Philip M. De Limon. “This is a historical undertaking and we are looking for possible sites where the statue will be placed worthy of the lawmaker’s ineptitude.”

The life-sized statue will be made out of white marble, sculpted to the likeness of the lawmaker and would contain an engraving of the letter S on its forehead.

“If budget permits, we’ll even make it a rotating statue capable of spinning 360 degrees,” he added, saying that only a deranged man who can come up with a “spinning” solution deserves a statue able to project its stupidity in the maximum allowable radius possible.

The NCCA is choosing between the House of Representatives in Batasan as well as erecting it directly in front of the gates of Rep. Bagatsing’s residence.

“Or we could place his statue behind the carabao,” he added. “That way his stupidity is facing the city of Manila and a stark reminder for everyone who the traitor is.”

Vote wisely.

  1. Honoring a hero should be like loving God or worshiping him, although to a lesser degree. Loving God or worshiping God means abiding in His words or doing in his will or commands. One of His will or command is for us not to make any graven image to be worshiped or to represent Him (Deut 4:15-19). Instead we should obey His commands or will to spread His words (Matt 28:19-20). In like manner we should share the faith of Dr. Jose Rizal as written in his Last Farewell 11th and 12th stanza, with a final wish saying “Constantly repeating the essence of the faith I keep”. One of the essential element of his faith was curtailed by the Rizal Law by deleting the portion in Noli Me Tangere where he questioned the origin of the teaching on purgatory and in which he said neither Moses nor Lord Jesus Christ made a hint on its existence. To give justice to Dr. Jose Rizal, this deleted portion should be displayed in a huge TV screen at facade of Torre de Manila.

One of His will or commands is for us not to make any graven image to be worshiped or to represent Him (Deut 4:15-19). Instead we should obey his command to eat and spread His words (Matt 28:19-20). In like manner we should share the faith of Dr. Jose Rizal as written in his Last Farewell 11th and 12th stanza, with a final wish saying “Constantly repeating the essence of the faith I keep”. To give justice to Dr. Jose Rizal, this deleted portion should be displayed in a huge TV screen at the facade of Torre de Manila. By doing so, the root of corruption (the corrupt teaching about purgatory) can be exposed and eradicated thus paving the way for emancipation and economic progress of our country, which was Dr. Rizal’s ultimate wish as expressed in his Last Farewell and other writings.

  3. That Amado Bagatsing’s monument deserve to be placed in front of a National center for mental health..

  4. FELIPE M. DE LEON, JR. is presently the Chairman and Commissioner for the Arts of
the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the Chairman of its Committee on
    Intangible Heritage.

  5. Mr Bagatsing’s erection hits right on the spot… of the carabao’s asshole.

And the 360-degree rotation should also have various movements (ala-Texas cowboy) for that ‘stimulating’ effect and a ‘pleasurable’ viewing experience.

    LOL XDD
