MANILA, Philippines — Saying that the testimonies and evidence on allegations of corruption against whoever it was the Senate Blue Ribbon was investigating at the moment were “irrefutable”, Senator Nancy Binay accidentally signed the subcommittee report recommending plunder charges against the former mayor of Makati, not knowing it was her father, Vice President Jejomar Binay, all along.
“Grabe ah, I was skimming through the report, ang reaction ko lang is, ‘Ang kapal naman ng mukha neto‘”, said Senator Nancy Binay. “Ikaw na nga etong iniimbita para magpaliwanag at linisin ang pangalan, ikaw pa yung tumanggi at mayabang!“
She added, “Kumukulo yung dugo ko habang binabasa ko yung report. Napaka-blatant ng corruption na nangyayari sa syudad na yun ah.“
After skimming through the subcommittee report, the senator hurriedly affixed her signature out of disgust by the unscrupulous practice of this public official.
Her staff, surprised at the turn of events asked her, “Ma’am, sure po ba kayo na pipirmahan nyo yan?“
Without blinking an eye, she answered, “Of course! We were elected to this position para pigilian etong mga mapang-abusong politicians at ang kanilang mga masasamang gawain na ang tanging layunin ay payamanin ang kanilang mga bulsa!“
“Pero tatay nyo yan, Ma’am,” her staff added. “Tatay nyo yang sinasabi nyong makapal ang mukha, mayabang, mapang-abuso at blatant ang corruption sa Makati na ang tanging layunin ay magpayaman lang ng bulsa.“
“Ha?” said a confused Binay, obviously missing the fact that it was her father she was alluding to all this time, as her staff hands over the correction tape for her to use.
