PNP Chief Alan Purisima Rates PNoy’s Cabinet

purisimaMANILA, Philippines — After showcasing his superb and spot-on rating skills at yesterday’s hearing on Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Alan Purisima, who gave himself a 9/10 rating when asked by Senator Grace Poe to rate himself; held a press conference today where he gave his expert ratings to various government officials based on his own criteria of judging.

“Welcome everyone to Pakapalan with General Alan,” said Purisima to everyone in attendance. “I am glad to be here today to share my much-sought-after insights regarding the President’s cabinet.”

A reporter raised her hand to ask first. “Sir, what rating would you give Department of Energy (DOE) secretary Jericho Petilla, with the looming power crisis in 2015?”

Without blinking an eye, Purisima replied, “I give him a 9. Maybe 10 when you ask me again in 2015.”

Another reporter ask how the PNP chief thinks of Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) secretary Emilio Abaya.

“Seeing the plight of all commuters everyday, the MRT fiasco, our dilapidated airports; I think I have no choice but to give Sec. Abaya a rating of 9,” he said.

“A 9?,” the puzzled reporter clarified.

“Did I say 9? I’m sorry. I meant to say 10,” Purisima said.

Purisima continued giving high marks to various cabinet members, including Department of Budget and Management secretary Butch Abad (10/10), Department of Agriculture secretary Proceso Alcala (10/10) and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) secretary Mar Roxas, who got an exceptionally high mark from Purisima when he gave him a 53/10 rating.

After the getting a standing ovation the end of the one-sided forum, Purisima went on and distributesd tokens of appreciation in the form of calling cards.
