Jessica Sanchez to Release Self-Titled Debut Album on July 4th

LOS ANGELES, California — American Idol Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez has beaten Phillip Phillips to the punch after the Mexican-Filipina announced the release of her first self-titled debut album under record company 19 Entertainment Ltd.

Entitled Jessica Sanchez: Renditions of the American Anthem by a Mexican – Filipino, the album contains 7 tracks – 3 of which are live recordings of her performances of The Star Spangled Banner from the Memorial Day concert in Washington DC, Pacquiao – Bradley Fight and Game 1 of the NBA Finals 2012. Aside from the 3 carrier singles, the album also contains minus-one versions of the 3 live performances, where fans can sing-along and feel like Jessica Sanchez herself.

Filipino fans of the 16-year-old should not be dismayed, as the album contains a bonus track where Sanchez hums along to the Philippine’s national anthem Lupang Hinirang. 19 Entertainment Ltd. CEO Simon Fuller explains that Sanchez still hasn’t memorized the words to the national anthem of her mother’s birthplace.

“Fans will be amazed by her soulful humming of Lupang Hinirang,” said Fuller.

Phillip Phillips, who was crowned Season 11’s American Idol, recently went under the knife to remove his kidney stones. The 21-year-old singer had to pass up the opportunity to record materials for a new album thus Sanchez was the first to release one.

  1. This is what the legit mainstream media is obsessing about now? Well aren’t we bored.

    Also, the karaoke versions. LOL

      • Because there’s just two of you who take time to read it. hahaha😀

And I’ve told you this on Twitter already: This post is so antipatiko and I mean it in a good way. How I did that, alam mo na yun. hahaha

      • I’m pretty sure there’s more than two of us.🙂

Oo nga eh, wasn’t unsure nga din at first if you meant that in a good way. hahaha

Dahil sa reaction mo, I wrote a whole article out of that tweet. hahaha🙂

      • Hey, I may not participate often enough, but I read this blog every chance I get. Best part, though are the comments. Amazing what college education has produced over the years. Last time I was chuckling over the boy bands, and now this! You make my nocturnal life worth the coffee.🙂

      • Thanks for the patronage and kind words screamingmango. Indeed comments are the highlight of each post, whether they are positive, nagative or clueless🙂

Still not sure who has the best wrath via their comments on Twitter between BSB fans or Jessica Sanchez fans (blujays)🙂

      • That should be poison1vy. Am blaming this on autocorrect and sticky fingers.🙂

I’ve been seeing your exchanges with jumbledcoffeethoughts..and been reading some of your blogs too. She told me how good you were. She’s not wrong. Galing..just look at the comments. Hehe!

        Keep them coming.

  2. Isang reaction = isang article. Ikaw nah!:D

Because I really like sarcastic humor (that’s why I love House!)😀 Lupet lang talaga! And that humming version of the Lupang Hinirang is the icing on the cake! \m/

  3. mabuhay ka…kapag sumikat ka na sana huwag lumaki ang ulo mo…..mapagkumbaba ka at makisama sa mga tagahanga…huwag maging maarte lalo na sa mga reporter at writer….

  4. The title of the album is not quite correct, it should be “Renditions of the American Anthem by a Mexican-Filipino who sings like an African-American.”
